I was curious to see how much of Sky's Native American roots was discussed but it sounds like the story didn't delve into it as much as you would have liked it to. So, I'll probably skip this one. I haven't run across many books that include that in them, or YA books that do. Maybe I should wait for a book with something more substantial in it. I liked Sky, too. I also was disappointed in the parental aspect and wished it had developed better and resolved with the dad. Still it was a different read and I enjoyed it, for the most part. Don't you love the cover?Heidi@Rainy Day Ramblingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05984216720423826256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1211090800803751472.post-20636405769449651032012-05-16T11:27:35.911-05:002012-05-16T11:27:35.911-05:00Ooooo! It's too bad that more of her heritage wasn't explored since it's different from what you normally see in YA.Missie, The Unread Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10548256640926555361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1211090800803751472.post-11942650036357910562012-05-16T09:27:14.307-05:002012-05-16T09:27:14.307-05:00Hm. I like your initial description of sky as being blunt and upfront, but I'm not a big fan when that bluntness is masking larger secrets. Still, I do love a male POV so that alone might make it worth the read:) Lovely review as always Rummanah!Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14199685365145765394noreply@blogger.com
