It's about a 4th grader named Akiko who is put in charge of a mission to rescue a kidnapped prince on the distant (and awfully strange) planet Smoo. There are 10 volumes in that series. As for Miki, I think it would make an excellent transition for a non-manga fan to a manga fan. Give it a shot and I'd love to hear your thoughts if you decided to read it!Rummanah Aasihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12119402559076729383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1211090800803751472.post-475198149183878902011-03-10T20:31:32.830-06:002011-03-10T20:31:32.830-06:00This sounds great! I know what you mean. I had the same problem book talking "Twilight" when it first came out, but then people caught on once they started reading it. I can see the same thing for this title too. :)Rummanah Aasihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12119402559076729383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1211090800803751472.post-86983815383586006922011-03-09T16:21:45.237-06:002011-03-09T16:21:45.237-06:00I really loved Miki Falls! It's a bit of a tough sell for some of my teens-it's too romancey, it's not manga, but I loved it!GreenBeanTeenQueenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08708155058381407531noreply@blogger.com
