Then you mentioned the switching between teen and adult voice so I'm not sure if I want to read this one with its inconsistent voice and pacing problems. What is this one being marketed as?A Canadian Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07127164685941412250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1211090800803751472.post-3121288304722386552011-12-13T11:17:36.818-06:002011-12-13T11:17:36.818-06:00A satire that is not a satire? It's a bummer that the voice is inconsistent, because otherwise Living Violet sounds great! On the book cover, I just wish she wasn't in the background. It makes her look like a secondary character and unimportant.Rummanah Aasihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12119402559076729383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1211090800803751472.post-14575003889686631162011-12-13T09:35:48.964-06:002011-12-13T09:35:48.964-06:00Hmm...the paranormal element sounds really strange...Hmm...the paranormal element sounds really strange. Maybe too strange. I do like that there's lots of good banter. I also like that there's a biracial character and the publishers actually put her on the cover, which they usually don't do. But the cover is odd. It looks more like a dystopia cover. I'm curious about the book, but it sounds problematic.Alison Can Readhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17908868606441539344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1211090800803751472.post-16972537746053920922011-12-13T09:29:20.491-06:002011-12-13T09:29:20.491-06:00I like the overall premise of this one and the fac...I like the overall premise of this one and the fact that the relationship made you laugh, I always like it when humor is mixed into a romance. The slang sounds problematic though, nothing pulls me out of a story faster than random slang thrown in.
